2015 Festival Program

Over 2000 people attended the 4th edition of Persian Film Festival and made every session a sell out. with nearly half of our audiences being from non-Persian speaking backgrounds, we believe to have made a new step towards our aim in establishing an independent cultural program that engages all Australian communities and a footprint in Australia’s cultural history.

The festival screened 5 features, 3 documentaries and 8 short films over four days, opening with the highly anticipated Australian premiere of Mohsen Makhmalbaf’s multi-award winning feature The President, which attracted so many people that a second cinema had to be opened to accommodate to screen the film simultaneously. Our Closing night film was the award winning Crazy Castle by Abolhassan Davoudi that was extremely well by our audiences.
