Director's Biography
Born in 1957 in Tehran, Mohsen Abdolvahab is a graduate of Film Editing from IRIB College of Tehran. He started his film career by editing documentary and short films in the 80s and then started making documentaries and mostly docu-fiction films. He’s already made completed 25 short and documentary films and he has received several national and international awards, including IDFA’s Silver Wolf Prize for Haj Abbas’ Wives in 2001. He co-directed two feature films with Rakshan Bani-Etemad: Gilaneh (2004) and Mainline (2006) Please Do Not Disturb (2010), his first independent feature film, screened in more than 30 international festivals and brought him received 10 awards. Being Born (2016) is his fourth feature film.

Synopsis

Pari and Farhad are a middle-class couple, both involved in theater and cinema. While they love each other and live a happy life with their son, Pari unwantedly becomes pregnant. Farhad insists on abortion but Pari believes the abortion is inhuman and cannot accept her husband idea. A baby who could possibly make a family life happier causes some serious changes in their situation.
