Director's Biography
Oktay Baraheni, was born in Iran in 1974. He studied film at York University in Toronto, and went on to Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) as an actor. Returned to Iran and worked as a producer, screenwriter, director, film critic and journalist. His filmmaking career includes short films such as The Sofa, The Groom, and To the Butterflies and the Screenplay for Lavasan. Bridge of Sleep is the latest film he wrote and directed in 2016.

Synopsis

Shahab, who is about to get married, enters a business deal along with his friend in order to help his financial situation. However, he loses all his money and finds himself in financial hardship. Creditors chase him after he fails to repay the high interest loan he owes. His dad, a high school teacher, tries helping him but his fiancé puts pressure on him. As a result Shahab decides to do something very unusual.
