Brick and Mirror

Ebrahim Golestan’s Brick and Mirror (Khesht va Ayeneh) is Iranian cinema’s first true modern masterpiece. It explores fear and responsibility in the aftermath of the 1953 coup.

The 13th Persian Film Festival Australia will take place in April 2027.

Submissions for the upcoming festival are now open.

The 12th Persian Film Festival will be held in April to May 2026. The program will include an official competition in feature, documentary and short film categories where the festival jury will present the Golden Gazelle Award to the best film in each section. The festival will open in Sydney and will tour to other major Australian capitals.
