Yasmin Kassim is a writer, comedian and actor of Indian descent and was the first Australian selected for the CBS Comedy Diversity Showcase. Most recent acting credits include Anaconda opposite Jack Black and Paul Rudd, Sex Lives of College Girls (HBO Max), Fing! opposite Taika Waititi, which just premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2026, Bear Country (Russell Crowe, Aaron Paul), Spa Weekend opposite Anna Farris and Isla Fisher, and You Always opposite Adrian Grenier (Entourage), where Yasmin also served as a writer. Yasmin also starred in the Australian soap opera Neighbours and opposite Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) in Jungle.
As a stand-up comedian, she regularly performs around the world and was one of the 8 comedians chosen for Mardi Gras 2025, where she performed for a sold-out audience of 1700. In 2024, she completed a sold-out Australian run with Brown Women Comedy at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Yasmin's co-written film Prawn Curry Christmas won the West Coast Visions 2025 award and was awarded $1.5 million in funding from Screen West, Lottery West, and Screen Australia.
