Hediye Khaniyan was born in Iran in 1993. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Directing and a Master's degree in Acting. Deeply engaged in experimental theatre, she has contributed to numerous productions as a Creative Director and Actor-Author. Her work often explores participatory and documentary-based methods, with a strong focus on improvisation and real-time audience interaction.
Among her notable projects are Anatomy and The History of Adab-Koshi—interactive performances that challenge conventional theatre structures through non-fiction narratives and immersive experiences. These works stand out as innovative contributions to contemporary Iranian theatre.
Hediye made her debut as a filmmaker with the short film A Sight of Her.
